FC Bayern is once again taking a clear stand in the fight against all forms of discrimination, racism, intolerance and violence. The club previously launched the 'Reds Against Racism' initiative at the start of this year. Every case of racism is one too many. This applies all over the world.
On behalf of the club, FC Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We are deeply shocked by the death of George Floyd and the horrifying images from the USA. Racism is completely unacceptable. We must proactively oppose it. In its now 120-year history, FC Bayern has always been committed to community values. Respect, tolerance and compassion are undisputed cornerstones of our club philosophy. FC Bayern stands for respectful, peaceful and open-minded coexistence. There is no place in our world for discrimination, hatred, intolerance and violence. We have said it before and now we will say it again, loud and clear and with deep conviction, so that it is heard all over the world: Reds Against Racism. Black Lives Matter.”
