FC Bayern are champions of Germany for the 30th time! Given the unprecedented situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this title is "a very special one", FC Bayern München eV president Herbert Hainer declared. FC Bayern München AG chairman and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was also impressed by the team's achievement: "Hansi Flick, his coaching staff and the team have had a brilliant second half of the season despite these difficult circumstances."
Hainer and Rummenigge on the 8th straight league title:
FC Bayern München eV president Herbert Hainer: "This eighth title in a row for FC Bayern is certainly a very special one - the circumstances caused by the coronavirus crisis have thrown all normal procedures into disarray and confronted us with new, unpredictable challenges. We are proud and happy that FC Bayern have once again shown what we're capable of, even in these unusual times. We are writing another chapter in our illustrious story. I congratulate the team, head coach Hansi Flick and his coaching staff from the bottom of my heart. For me, it is the first Bundesliga title as FC Bayern president. It's an incredible feeling. And we still have the cup final in Berlin!"
FC Bayern München AG chairman and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "I would like to congratulate the team and our head coach Hansi Flick and his coaching staff very warmly on winning the Bundesliga title. Without question, this is a season played in special conditions that nobody wished for, and which hopefully will remain unique. Hansi Flick, his coaching staff and the team have had a brilliant second half of the season despite these difficult circumstances, not only in terms of our victories, the points we've taken and the many goals, but also to our way of playing. We want to give our fans trophies and at the same time inspire them with attacking football. That's been achieved. FC Bayern have deservedly won the league for the eighth time in a row."
