In the winter, ahead of time and during a spell out on loan at Hamburger SV, midfielder Adrian Fein extended his contract with FC Bayern until 2023. Now the 21-year-old is back in Munich and is due to join Hansi Flick's first-team squad for the 2020/21 season. Last week, Fein took up the German champions' training programme alongside new signings Leroy Sané, Alexander Nübel and Tanguy Nianzou.
"Adrian is very talented. He trained with us and has also developed very well in his first two years as a pro," said Hasan Salihamidžić, FC Bayern's board member for sport. "Now we hope that he will take the next big step in his career with us in Munich."
Fein himself is "happy to be back home. It feels very good to be able to compete here with so many top international players. The first days back at Säbener Strasse have been really fun." Fein has been on the books at FC Bayern since 2014. In the last two seasons he has gained experience out on loan at Jahn Regensburg and Hamburger SV in the second tier of German football.
This week, FC Bayern are focusing on the Audi Digital Summer Tour. You can find out what's been happening during the tour below:
