The tie will be played over two legs, with the winner going on to the final, which is also on Friday. The competition’s other semi-final sees Manchester United face Barcelona. Attacking opponents
FCB’s opponents from Italy are an impressive attacking team. “They’re just incredibly tough to defend against, which we why attack is our best form of defence,” said head coach Matthias Luttenberger. There is one player in particular on the Juve team that the Munich gamers have in their sights, according to Sanchez: “Ettore Giannuzzi is one of the best players in the history of PES.” The multiple-time PES world champion is seen as the complete player, being solid in defence and capable of scoring plenty of goals.

Luttenberger’s team suffered just one loss, which came in the final game against Nantes. “The defeat against Nantes shouldn’t have happened, but it was a good wake-up call,” said the 32-year-old coach. Mestre also knows that it won’t be easy: “We have to focus until the very end. We also need to think about aerial duels against Juventus, because they’re very strong there.”

With the final taking place afterwards, it’s also worth keeping an eye on the other semi-final. “We’ve done our work and are ready for every scenario.
