With his 90th minute chip, Lewandowski netted for the sixth time this season in the DFB Cup, finishing top scorer in the competition. That's the fifth time he's been top goalscorer at the end of a DFB Cup campaign; the first player to ever do so.

The Poland captain has scored 51 competitive goals so far this term, by far a best-mark in Europe's top five leagues. Lewandowski only boasted the same number in 2015/16.

Lewandowski scored his 39th DFB Cup goal against Leverkusen, advancing to fifth place in the all-time rankings, catching up with Klaus Allofs and Hannes Löhr. Bayern's fourth goal against Leverkusen was his eighth in a DFB Cup final, Lewandowski extending his record (Gerd Müller and Uwe Seeler have scored four cup final goals each).

Lewandowski is the first player to score in four finals and the first to find the net in three straight cup finals. He scored against Frankfurt in 2018 and bagged a brace against Leipzig in 2019.
