FC Bayern's first competitive fixture of the 2020/21 season will be a trip to face 1. FC Düren. As part of the nationwide amateur football finals day on Saturday afternoon, the fifth-tier side from North-Rhine Westphalia defeated fourth division Alemannia Aachen in the final of the Mittelrhein association cup, earning a place in the DFB Cup first round proper for next season. The regional association cup winners were previously drawn to face the men from Munich in the first round fixture on 11 September.
