Draw for Germany, victory for Thiago and Spain

The German national team, including Leroy Sané and Niklas Süle, had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in Basel on Sunday evening. The two Bayern players were both named in the starting line-up for the UEFA Nations League clash, with Sané taken off at half-time and Süle substituted off in the 62nd minute.

Sané had the first chance of the match in the seventh minute after a good run. A short while later, Ilkay Gündogan gave Germany the lead, but the Swiss equalised in the second half courtesy of Silvan Widmer. Meanwhile, Bayern midfielder Thiago enjoyed a comfortable victory with Spain. Luis Enrique’s men beat Ukraine 4-0 in Madrid, with Thiago playing the full 90 minutes and putting in an impressive performance in the centre of midfield.
