FC Bayern fans show their heart once again. Together with SpVgg Unterhaching, the record champions have implemented a charity campaign for Bavarian Broadcasting's 'Sternstunden' initiative over the past ten days. The result was a complete success. By purchasing virtual tickets for yesterday's game against VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena, FC Bayern fans donated an impressive €113,000 to people in need.
President Herbert Hainer: "FC Bayern thanks all the fans for their generous donations. You have all helped so that people in need can now enjoy a nicer Christmas because they can look forward to the future with a little less worry. In this pandemic in particular, it's important to not lose sight of those who are not doing so well. We're delighted our FC Bayern family has shown such solidarity with our fans all over the world in this crisis. Thanks also go to SpVgg Unterhaching and its president Manfred Schwabl, who initiated the campaign. Clubs have an important social responsibility and our fans have once again shown their heart."
