It's finally starting again! On Saturday, FC Bayern Esport will start the new season of the KONAMI eFootball.Pro League. The Munich trio will play a role this season that is well known at FCB. After the triumph in the KONAMI eFootball.Pro Cup last season, Alex Alguacil, Miguel Mestre, José Sánchez and coach Matthias Luttenberger are the team to beat.
From the same mould
"We are the best team at the moment. But a new season is starting and it's going to be difficult. It starts from scratch," said Alguacil, who was named the best player of the tournament in the summer. The three Spaniards and their Austrian coach have been preparing to defend their title for months. In training they work to ensure the trio becomes a unit. "When we play at our maximum, we're like one person. We have the perfect chemistry," explained Sánchez.
Cracker to begin
This season they'll compete against the best teams in the world in 3v3 co-op mode. It starts on Saturday against another title favourite: Juventus. "They have the best players in Esport history," warned Mestre. But Luttenberger wants to make sure his boys are not surprised. "We analysed every team down to the smallest detail," the coach declared.

Unlike last year, the duels will be held online and not as an on-site event. But you can of course be there live on the FC Bayern Esport YouTube channel. You can get a very special insight into this on Thursday evening (10 December). FC Bayern TV LIVE accompanied the gamers at their Media Day a few weeks ago and will be showing this on Inside from 8 pm. Luttenberger & Co. will talk about their everyday training, last year and the new season. So switch on and look forward to the start of the season!
