Locomotiv Moscow will travel to Munich for the final group game of the Champions League in confident mood. The Muscovites won 3-1 (1-1) against league rivals Rubin Kazan on Saturday, impressing before playing Bayern in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday (9 pm CET). Despite the win, Marko's Nikolić's team are still lagging behind in their chase for a European spot in the Russian Premier League, lying 5th after 17 games.
Lokomotiv overturn a deficit
The Russian runners-up last season had to stomach going a goal down early at home against Kazan following In-Beom Hwang's strike after just 3 minutes. They were however able to make up for it before the break thanks to Vladislav Ignatiev (17'). The second half was almost entirely dominated by the Muscovites after Kazan's Ivan Ignatyev was sent off (47'), and the home side came away with three points thanks to a converted penalty by Anton Miranchuk (69') and Ignatiev's second goal (86').
