Gnabry's acrobatics and hunger for goals

It is always impressive to watch the hunger Serge Gnabry has for the game of football. The FC Bayern attacker is so eager to score that he gives everything, even contorting himself into the most amazing positions in order to do so. Just like on 29 February 2020 during Bayern's away match in Hoffenheim. Robert Lewandowski crossed the ball from the left a little too far to the back post. But this was no problem for Gnabry.

Hoffenheim's Oliver Baumann was so surprised by Gnabry's effort that he could only deflect the ball into his own goal.

The attacker jumped up in kung-fu-esque style and was horizontal in the air. With his right leg extended, the Germany international just managed to control the ball and fire it towards goal. His extraordinary effort was rewarded when the ball bounced off 'keeper Oliver Baumann's knee into the net and put Bayern 1-0 up. Officially, it counted as an own goal by Baumann, but without Gnabry's hunger it would never have been scored.

Repeat on Saturday

Saturday sees another clash with Gnabry's former club - the winger was on loan from FCB to TSG in the 2017/18 season - and fans can be sure the 25-year-old will get stuck in once more, ensuring Bayern get the next three points on their way to his third league title at the club.
