The Bavarians had two days off to clear their heads, but the treble winners were back in the training ground on Wednesday. Ensuring his players would not go too long without some competition, Hansi Flick organised a training tournament for the session in preparation for Saturday's match against Hoffenheim.

Flick had almost the entire squad at his disposal, with just the two Frenchmen Corentin Tolisso (muscular complaints) and Tanguy Nianzou (rehab after muscle bundle rupture) completing individual sessions. Three teams of eight players gave everything on the pitch to prevail against their colleagues. Things got down to business with a lot of speed and intensity. The mood was good, especially for Kingsley Coman, Niklas Süle, Leon Goretzka, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Lukas Schneller, Chris Richards, Bright Arrey-Mbi and Jamal Musiala, who came out of the mini-tournament as winners.
