Hansi Flick: It's a boost to our confidence

What a performance! Bayern were strong against TSG Hoffenheim and deserved ther 4-1 win. "It was good and creative up front," said goalscorer Thomas Müller. "We played well. The victory was fully deserved," said Hansi Flick. Here's more of the reaction:

Reaction to the win against Hoffenheim

Hansi Flick:  "You know both teams want to play football. Hoffenheim created opportunities, especially in the first half. Manu [Neuer] stood up well in a few situations. 4-1 is a very good result. We've won four games in a row now, collecting 12 points. This is our benchmark. We played well. Not everything was great, but I'm satisfied. We wanted to get back on track after the two defeats. That's what makes great teams. The team have shown they can turn it around quickly. That's a good thing and it gives us confidence."

Thomas Müller: "After four wins out of four games, we're definitely on the right track. We played consistently well both up front and at the back. When we lift the pace, it often pays off. This makes us feel good. Hoffenheim have their strengths up front. They try to play football. They're not destructive, they're offensive. Of course we would have liked not to concede the goal. It was good and creative up front. We deserved one more goal in the first half."

What the visitors said

Sebastian Hoeneß (Hoffenheim coach): "We got into the game very well. We were brave and structured. We had chances to take the lead. We continued to hold Bayern back well and then fell behind due to an unnecessary corner. One time we fell asleep switching play, which was quickly punished. We had big plans for the second half and good situations. Then we conceded the third goal from an unnecessary situation and shortly afterwards the fourth. Unfortunately, this decided the game, which annoyed me. It was a courageous performance, but we're not happy with the result."

Christoph Baumgartner (1899 Hoffenheim): "It was a very, very bitter result for us. We played well in stretches. The first two really good chances were ours. You have to take the lead against Bayern, or they'll get you at some point."
