The Bundesliga game between Hertha Berlin and FC Bayern on Friday night (5 February) will kick off 30 minutes earlier than planned at 20:00 CET. The move was agreed by the two clubs plus the TV rights holder DAZN and TV broadcaster Sky.
The background is the participation of FC Bayern in the FIFA Club World Cup in Doha, with the record champions heading straight off after the game to allow the best possible implementation of the FIFA hygiene protocol for the competition including the required PCR tests. The rearranged kick-off makes it possible to organise the flight departure on the night of the game.
