Oliver Kahn in dialogue with fans
Fans are the base around which everything at FC Bayern revolves. It is therefore important to the record German champions that its supporters and members are involved in the FC Bayern AHEAD process as active opinion leaders. Board member Oliver Kahn has held in-depth discussions with fans from all over the world about their view of the club in order to be able to incorporate their expectations and ideas into the future direction. It will not be the only involvement from supporters – a survey of fans and members is already being planned.
Executive Board Member Oliver Kahn: “The dialogue with our fans is elementary for our club. With FC Bayern AHEAD, we want to meet the demands of the future in an active and creative way. And in everything we strive for as a club, the fans and members are of central, decisive importance. Therefore, such an exchange is extremely important for our development as a club and also for me personally. It’s incredibly interesting to work on content together in direct contact.”
Feedback from fans on various topics
The meetings were about getting to know each other, the fans’ feedback on various topics and their perspective on the development of the club’s future. The discussion partners from Germany came from the Fan Dialogue Working Group, and there were also connections with supporters from America, China and other Asian countries. The respective meetings were accompanied by Jörg Wacker (FC Bayern Executive Board Member for Internationalization & Strategy), Rudolf Vidal (FC Bayern President Americas) and Rouven Kasper (FC Bayern President Asia).
What is FC Bayern AHEAD?
The cross-club strategy process FC Bayern AHEAD was launched in autumn. Under the leadership of Oliver Kahn and the steering committee, which includes president and Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Hainer, the entire FC Bayern München AG board with Chairman and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and representatives of FC Bayern München eV and FC Bayern Basketball GmbH, new guiding principles are being defined so that the club can meet all the challenges posed by the ever-faster changing (sports) world. If nothing else, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that innovation, creativity and strategic objectives are needed to remain a pioneer.
