Bayern pick up their sixth title in one year

It's done! On Thursday evening, FC Bayern beat UANL Tigres in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup and thus secured a historic sixth title within one year. Only FC Barcelona (in 2009) had previously achieved this feat. fcbayern.com congratulates coach Hansi Flick's team on this incredible achievement and looks back on all six title wins.

16 June 2020 – 8th Bundesliga title in a row

On Matchday 32 of last year's Bundesliga season, FC Bayern were crowned German champions for the eighth time in a row and for the 30th time in the club's history. A 1-0 victory at Werder Bremen saw the title wrapped up four games ahead of schedule.

4 July 2020 – Cup win and celebrations in Berlin

Thanks to a 4-2 victory in the DFB Cup final against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Bayern won their second trophy at the beginning of July, thus defending their double from the previous year. It was the 20th cup title for the record champions.

23 August 2020 - The coronation for the kings of Europe

A magnificent performance, and what an outstanding success! In the Champions League finals tournament in Lisbon, FC Bayern played their part and then some. On the way to the final, Flick's team defeated FC Barcelona (8-2) and Olympique Lyon (3-0). In the final, the Bavarians took home the trophy with a 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain. The second treble in the history of the FCB after 2013 was secured.

24 September 2020 – Big fight for the UEFA Super Cup

FC Bayern had to fight hard against Europa League winners Sevilla shortly after the start of the new season but came out on top again. Regular time ended with the score 1-1, but Javi Martínez, who also scored in the 2013 UEFA Super Cup, sealed Bayern’s 2-1 victory in extra time.

30 September 2020 – Absolute will to win in the DFL Supercup

Munich sealed the next title only one week later. FCB once again showed their mentality and absolute will to win in the DFL Supercup against Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund. Joshua Kimmich rounded off the scoreline when he acrobatically got the ball over the line as he fell.

11 February 2021 – Maximum silverware

FC Bayern downed Al Ahly 2-0 before beating Tigres 1-0 in the final to win the FIFA Club World Cup. Benjamin Pavard scored the match-winner against the Mexican side just before the hour mark, Bayern winning their sixth title within a year.
