Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, stepped down as a deputy to the chairman of the FC Bayern München AG supervisory board at the general meeting of FC Bayern München AG. The general meeting of FC Bayern München AG has appointed Markus Duesmann, the Chairman of the Board of Management at Audi AG, as his successor on the supervisory board. Markus Duesmann was unanimously voted as deputy chairman of the supervisory board by the members of the supervisory board.
“We are very grateful to Dr. Herbert Diess. He has made a valuable contribution to the FC Bayern supervisory board with his enormous expertise, his commitment and his great passion. We will always remain on cordial terms with Dr. Herbert Diess,” said Herbert Hainer, chairman of the FC Bayern München AG supervisory board. “I would like to welcome Markus Duesmann to FC Bayern München. We are very much looking forward to working together in the years ahead.”
