Peter Romics named new FCB merchandising director

FC Bayern has announced a new appointment at the top of the merchandising & licensing team. 40-year-old Peter Romics will take over the management of the department as director with immediate effect and will report directly to board member Jörg Wacker.

Romics has already played a key role in shaping the development of the department as a consultant since 2016. Among other things, he was responsible for the planning and implementation of the major "FC Bayern World" project. Before that, he successfully managed numerous companies in the retail business as an independent entrepreneur.

"We are very pleased that in Peter Romics we have been able to recruit an absolute expert for this important role," remarked board member Jörg Wacker. "Merchandising is not only a source of revenue and a marketing pillar for us, it's also a key element in giving our fans around the world the opportunity to identify with FC Bayern. Peter Romics, with his years of expertise and strong business acumen, is exactly the right person to drive this important function of our club forward in the long term."
