Nianzou: Now I'm giving it everything I have

A long wait was over for summer signing Tanguy Nianzou on Saturday. After suffering a muscle tear in December, the 18-year-old defensive talent made his comeback in the 1-1 draw against Union Berlin. 133 days after his only previous appearance for FC Bayern in the 3-1 win at Stuttgart, the Frenchman finally got to feature for his new club again.

"I worked very hard for it and now I'm giving it everything I have," said Nianzou about his efforts in training over recent weeks as he fought his way back into team. The versatile defender also used the time during his rehabilitaiton to swot up on his vocabulary, enabling him to give his first interview in German. Hear it for yourself in the video above.

In it, he also reveals how his work with Hansi Flick has gone so far: "The coach talks a lot with the young players, also with me. That's very nice, of course. I learn a lot from his experiences. He gives me a lot of good advice, and that's a nice thing."

Former PSG youngster

Less than 24 hours after his comeback in the Bundesliga, Nianzou was back to work at Säbener Straße in Sunday's training session. The youngster will be hoping to be involved on Tuesday evening, when Bayern face his youth club Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the Champions League semi-finals.
