Douglas Costa and Tiago Dantas are leaving FC Bayern. The German champions and Costa agreed to terminate his contract ahead of its original expiry date, and they also came to an agreement with Dantas that his loan agreement with Lisbon outfit Benfica will not be extended.
Costa was loaned out for one season by Juventus in the early autumn. This season, the 30-year-old forward made a total of 20 appearances in the Bundesliga, Champions League, DFB Cup and at the Club World Cup. The Brazilian has been out since February due to a hairline fracture in his foot. FC Bayern had taken Tiago Dantas on loan from Benfica for one season in the summer. The 20-year-old Portuguese made two appearances for the first team and seven for the FC Bayern reserves.
Board member for sport Hasan Salihamidžić: "Douglas Costa and Tiago Dantas have won the German championship with us this season. We would like to express our sincere thanks to both of them and wish them all the best for the future.“
