France are through to the knockout stage of Euro 2020 as group winners after drawing 2-2 with Portugal on Wednesday evening, with FC Bayern players Corentin Tolisso, Lucas Hernández (both starting) and Kingsley Coman (subbed on after 66 minutes) all featuring. The World Cup winners therefore finish first in Group F with five points, ahead of Germany (4), Portugal (4) and Hungary (2). The French will play Switzerland (third in Group A) in the round of 16 next Monday (28 June) at 21.00 CEST in Bucharest.

At the Puskás Arena in the Hungarian capital, France fell behind in the 31st minute to a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty. Karim Benzema then equalised in first-half stoppage time, also from the spot. Just two minutes after the break, Benzema scored his second to make it 2-1 for the French, but Ronaldo put away another penalty to ensure the sides finished with a point apiece.
Germany sealed the runners-up spot behind France thanks to Leon Goretzka's late equaliser against Hungary:
