FC Bayern München 2021/22

Hildegard Müller new to advisory board

The first meeting of the FC Bayern München eV advisory board in the 2021/22 season saw a number of personnel changes. Hildegard Müller, president of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), was welcomed as a new member. Müller has been a member of FC Bayern München for 25 years.

Hainer: Frau Müller is a real acquisition for our club

Herbert Hainer, FC Bayern president, said: “We are very happy to have gained with Hildegard Müller an outstanding personality as an active advisor for FC Bayern. With her many years of experience in high-level positions in politics and finance, Mrs Müller is a real acquisition for our club. We very much look forward to working with her!”

Hildegard Müller: “As a long-time member and huge fan of FC Bayern, I thank Herbert Hainer and the executive committee for the opportunity to work on the club’s advisory board in the future and to be able to bring in my experiences. I’m looking forward to the dialogue on this high-quality board under the leadership of Dr. Edmund Stoiber, and to continuing to write the success story of this club together.”

At the same time, two long-serving members and companions of the club have bid farewell to the advisory board at their own request. President Hainer paid emotional tributes to both Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich and Josef Hübl for their support for the club in many areas over the decades. Müller-Heydenreich was indeed a founding member of the advisory board in 1973, while Hübl has also been a member of the board for a number of decades. Both are already honorary members of FC Bayern München.

Herbert Hainer and Dr. Edmund Stoiber thanked Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich for his lengthy service.

Dr. Edmund Stoiber: “I thank Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich for our close and faithful work together over the decades, which has always been for the good of FC Bayern München. Together we formed the ‘front two’ of the advisory board for many years. As an institution of the advisory board, Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich deserves special credit for the creation of our modern charter in 2010, and can undoubtedly be called the spiritual father of it. Through that, he made an immense contribution to the integration and togetherness in our club. My thanks equally go to Josef Hübl, who has always been a loyal and valuable companion to the club since the early 80s.”

Hainer added: “Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich and Josef Hübl have always put the good of FC Bayern München above their own interests. For that we should thank them on behalf of the whole club – they are both an important part of the club’s history.”
