For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began, the Bayern Legends have come together once again at the Paulaner Legends Cup. Giovane Élber, Claudio Pizarro, Roy Makaay, club greats like FC Bayern president Herbert Hainer, CEO Oliver Kahn, board member for sport Hasan Salihamidžić and honorary president Uli Hoeneß, as well as high-profile guests such as Allianz group CEO Joachim Müller all took part. Professional golfer and Olympian Max Kieffer also made sure he didn't miss this event and came to the golf course straight off his flight from Tokyo to show of his skills to the participants.
Legends ambassador Giovane Élber was very happy about the long-awaited reunion: "FC Bayern has a great history, which our Legends stand for. We're proud to be a part of the FC Bayern family and are very much looking forward to hopefully being able to jointly host Paulaner Fan Dreams with the FC Bayern fans again soon."
The idea of the Paulaner Legends Cup came about as part of the partnership with Paulaner as well as the Schloss Egmating Golf Club. It's taking place in the run-up to tomorrow's Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation at the Allianz Arena, which will see the FC Bayern legends play each other in a friendly for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The proceeds of the Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation will go to charity:
