Even though scoring goals with this special shoe might not be quite as easy, Robert Lewandowski did not want to go without it at training. Therefore, the newly crowned Golden Shoe winner, the best striker in Europe, simply brought his trophy to Säbener Straße on Wednesday morning - and caused quite a scene. His teammates formed a guard of honour for the award winner before the session, and of course there was a souvenir photo after training.
Team helped set a record season
The joint snapshot was also a small thank-you from the Pole to his teammates, without whose support and assists the unbelievable 41-goal record season would probably not have been possible. Bayern have achieved a lot together - but there is always more: "In football, the most important thing is not what you've won, but what you can still win," announced Lewandowski the day before at the award ceremony in the club museum.

The 33-year-old went to work with his usual verve and hunger during Wednesday's session. The main item on coach Julian Nagelsmann's training agenda was a match with full team strength, followed by free-kick training for Lewy, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané. In just two days, the Munich men face a trip to SpVgg Greuther Fürth - and Lewandowski's accuracy will be required once again.
Leading scoring charts already
"The season has just started. There are still many games in which I can still score goals. I want to win with my team, I score the goals for this team," declared the striker on Tuesday. Lewandowski leads the Bundesliga goalscorer list with seven goals after five matchdays, level with Dortmund's Erling Haaland, likely to be his biggest rival this season. Lewandowski's hunger for goals is far from satisfied, because even when it comes to golden shoes, it's best to own a pair.
