Good news from the Säbener Straße training ground: alongside established players and a few campus talents, head coach Julian Nagelsmann was able to welcome back a returnee for the start of preparation for the weekend's standout Bundesliga fixture: Corentin Tolisso was back on the pitch following his calf knock. The 27-year-old Frenchman, whose compatriots won the Nations League on Sunday evening, had had problems in his left calf since returning from the Équipe Tricolore at the beginning of September and had only been able to train individually.

The league leaders travel to Bayer 04 Leverkusen next Sunday at 15:30 CEST. After warming up, Nagelsmann's team started the training week with different kinds of playing and passing drills. As well as Tolisso, Christian Früchtl, Omar Richards, Michaël Cuisance, Marc Roca and Kingsley Coman from the senior squad were also involved. In addition, young talents also bolstered the training group during the international break. Over the course of the week, the internationals will return bit by bit to get ready for the highlight at the BayArena.
