After over a year and a half waiting, FC Bayern and its fans will be reunited properly for the next home game where a full capacity crowd will be allowed into the Allianz Arena following a decision by the Bavarian state government on Monday, 4 October. It means FC Bayern can once again welcome 75,000 spectators to their home fixture against Hoffenheim on 23 October. However, special match operations remain in force, meaning the admission of spectators is still dependent on the pandemic.
3G-Plus rule
The requirement within the framework of coronavirus protection measures is the so-called 3G-Plus rule. This states that entry to the stadium is only possible for those who have been fully vaccinated, have recovered or can present a negative PCR test (not older than 48 hours). Children up to their 12th birthday and pupils older than 12 who are subject to regular testing as part of school attendance (also valid during school holiday) are excluded from testing.
Jan-Christian Dreesen, FC Bayern vice-chairman: “We’re delighted, especially for our fans, that full spectator capacity is now once again permitted in our Allianz Arena. We will carefully take all necessary precautions to continue to ensure the highest level of safety and the health of spectators.”
Rules on masks and social distancing also dropped
There will only be one-off match tickets available for the next home games against Hoffenheim (23 October) and Benfica (2 November). Season tickets will be valid from the match against Freiburg on 6 November. Season ticket holders will receive a personal letter with detailed information in the week beginning 11 October.
The decision of the state cabinet also means the requirement to wear a mask and social distancing regulations – as well as the ban on alcohol being served – will also be dropped for Bayern’s home matches.
