Musiala now second-youngest Germany scorer ever

It's hard to believe he's still eligible for the youth levels of the game: after a pass from Karim Adeyemi, Jamal Musiala controlled the ball 40 yards from goal and drove forward, before calmly finding the far corner from 16 yards with a right-footed shot - familiarly ice-cold. The 18-year-old scored the fourth and final goal in Germany's 4-0 win over North Macedonia in Skopje on Monday evening, netting in the 83rd minute. At 18 years and 227 days, the FC Bayern attacker is thus the second-youngest goalscorer in the history of the Germany national team.

Youngster, record-breaker

Stuttgart-born Musiala, who moved to FC Bayern Campus from Chelsea's youth team in 2019, now holds several records with the German record champions and the national team. On his Bundesliga debut, the attacker was just 17 years and 115 days old - a Bayern record! He was only 90 days older when he scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 8-0 rout of Schalke 04 - another Bayern record!

Second only to Hiller

The youngster is also setting records at international level: After his international goal, he is now the youngest Germany scorer in a World Cup qualifying match and the second-youngest of all time. Only Pforzheim's Marius Hiller was younger when he scored aged 17 years and 241 days, way back in 1910.
