A great accolade and incentive for what's to come! Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala was presented with the "Audi Generation Award" in the "Summer Sports" category on Wednesday evening. This has been awarded since 2007 and, according to organiser Philip Greffenius, is "more than just an honour for special achievements, it's a prize for the future, awarded to young talents from whom much can still be expected."
Not yet at his peak
In addition to a strong personality, the requirements profile of the award winners includes that they are young, already very successful, but have not yet reached their peak. This also applies to Musiala: The 18-year-old attacker moved to the German record champions at the beginning of 2020 and advanced from being FC Bayern's youngest-ever Bundesliga professional to a Germany international within the space of just a few months. With the "Audi Generation Award", he's now received a further motivational boost to take the next step in his still-young career.
