Man of the Match Leroy Sané: We had fun

"Against Barça it just kind of clicks," grinned Thomas Müller after a commanding 3-0 home win against FC Barcelona at the end of the Champions League group stage. With six wins from six, FC Bayern stormed into the last 16 of the Champions League without dropping a point. The head coach and Müller's team-mates were also happy after the win: "We definitely had fun," said Leroy Sané, who was named man of the match. Reaction below.

Reaction from the Bayern camp:

Julian Nagelsmann: "It was important that we kept a clean sheet. Now we've scored 22 goals in the Champions League and conceded just three. That is a good ratio. Today we were also very confident. We played against a famous side who had to win. But we didn't let them get into the game in any way. In the second half, we defended a bit deeper and let them have the ball more. But I think if we tightened up more, we would have scored more than just the three goals. In the end, we've had a very good group stage."

Thomas Müller: "Against Barça it just kind of clicks for me. We played well. Of course, not everything was perfect. When you play Barça, who always press high and try to put you under pressure, there's space for our wide players. Sometimes the timing of the passes and the runs weren't ideal. We could have done more in the second half. But we had fun."

Leroy Sané: "I think we played very well today. It was definitely fun. We played well together and got the win."

Xavier Hernández (FC Barcelona. head coach): "It's unfortunate, but it's the reality. I had hoped that we could put in a better performance. Bayern are better than us at this moment in time. We are starting again from scratch now and want to get Barcelona back to where the club belongs. We want to win other trophies now, like the Europa League, the league or the Copa del Rey. We have to work hard to get back to the top of the Champions League."
