Bouna Sarr and Senegal took a big step towards the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations. The Lions of Teranga may have only managed a goalless draw against Guinea on Friday despite having many chances in the second half, but they are level on points (four) and goal difference (+1) at the top of Group B with Guinea after two games.
Sarr almost wins it
As he did in the opening 1-0 win against Zimbabwe, Sarr again featured in the starting XI. He played on the right wing until his substitution in the 90th minute but almost won the game with 69 on the clock. However, the 29-year-old put wide from a good position. Aliou Cisse’s team finish the group on Tuesday against Malawi with the chance to book their place in the knockout stage.
