Bayern defender Bouna Sarr was back at Säbener Straße for the first time on Friday afternoon since lifting the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal on Sunday. A delegation including CEO Oliver Kahn, board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic and the team all welcomed the 30-year-old at the training ground.
Champion of Africa
Sarr won the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday after Senegal prevailed 4-2 on penalties in the final against record champions Egypt. The Bayern right-back started every match and would have been an ever present if he hadn’t been substituted in the 90th minute of the second group game against Guinea. Congratulations again, Bouna! And great to have you back in Munich.
