Long-time fan Michael "Buschmann" Zeman dies

FC Bayern was deeply shocked to learn of the death of its long-time fan Michael Zeman, better known as “Buschmann” to the record champions' supporters. Zeman died on Tuesday at the age of 57 following a heart attack. “Buschi” travelled the world with FC Bayern - wherever they went, he was there too. Zeman was known for his warm manner and his distinctive outfit consisting of a jacket with over 100 patches, trousers with around 80 patches, 40 scarves, a 3.5-metre-long scarf around his neck, FC Bayern socks, FC Bayern shoes and a hat with patches.

Herbert Hainer, president of FC Bayern: ”The FC Bayern family mourns the loss of Michael 'Buschmann' Zeman, a fan who loyally followed our club through all its ups and downs over many decades. He carried FC Bayern in his heart - and out into the world, as he was closely connected with our supporters around the globe. In him, we have lost a very special person who we will always remember. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.”
