FC Bayern are finally back on a real road trip, up close to the fans, as they set off on the seventh Audi Summer Tour in 2022. The motto after two years, during which the German record champions turned the tour with partner Audi into a digital experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is: ‘Back on the Road’. Julian Nagelsmann’s team will visit the USA from 18 to 24 July for what will be the fifth time, and will include a stop in the capital Washington, where they ’ll play hosts D.C. United in an Audi Football Summit. A second Audi Football Summit is also planned.
FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn: “After two years of the pandemic, we are very much looking forward to getting back in touch with the fans with our extremely popular and successful Audi Summer Tours. It will be great to see the enthusiasm of the people out there. FC Bayern are ‘Back on the Road‘ - always looking forward and with the aim of bringing joy to our fans.”
FC Bayern Board Member for Marketing Andreas Jung: “Over the last two years, the virtual Audi Summer Tours have been really well received by our fans across the world thanks to the hugely creative content. Nevertheless, nothing replaces real contact with people in their own home countries. Over time, the Audi Summer Tour has become an important factor in presenting our club on the global stage - and at the same time bringing our values and our Bavarian roots to the world.”
Audi Board Member for Sales and Marketing Hildegard Wortmann: “Our partnership with FC Bayern perfectly reflects what we stand for at Audi. We live and breathe progress – and we know how important real team spirit is, both in sport and in the world of work. I’m particularly pleased that we can raise awareness of ourselves and our values with the Audi Summer Tour along with FC Bayern in one of our most important markets, the USA. And, of course, I cross my fingers for successful performances.“
