In the 90 minutes on the pitch you are a team. Everybody gives their all for each other. You look after each other. You win together, you lose together. Individual differences become joint strengths. FC Bayern is: a family. But that does not stop when the final whistle is blown. FC Bayern stands for more than just winning on the pitch – and for more than what happens in the 90 minutes.
In the new cross-club project of 90 MINUTES AND BEYOND FC Bayern looks beyond the pitch to show our values of inspiration and commitment after full-time. It is about making the far-reaching initiatives of the club beyond sport more accessible for fans across the world – because sport is always just the beginning. For starters, FC Bayern has opened a pitch aimed especially at street footballers in association with partner adidas at the Sugar Mountain cultural centre in Munich. Fans of football can play there on the 30 x 15 metre Soccer Five Court.
FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn: "We are very happy to have created an opportunity for football mad children and teenagers at the start of 90 MINUTES AND BEYOND together with our partners adidas at the Sugar Mountain. Through that we want to make a contribution to supporting grassroots sports in our home city."
The football pitch is at the Sugar Mountain cultural centre of the City of Munich in Obersendling – a venue for art and culture covering 7,500 m² outside and 2,000 m² indoors. Together with Munich sports and school organisations, children and teenagers should have the opportunity to meet and develop together through training, workshops, creative sessions and activities.
