Interview with Jamal Musiala
Servus Jamal, what goes through your head when you hear the UCL anthem?
Jamal Musiala: “It’s special. I’ve heard the anthem since I was a little kid. And now I’m out on the pitch listening to it, is just unbelievable and it’s fun. It’s an honour for me.”
What is it about the Champions League that makes it so appealing?
“The Champions League is one of the greatest competitions in the world. And it’s extra special for me because I’ve watched all the games since I was little. There are so many top players in the tournament- it’s amazing to watch and just fun to play in. It’s really special for me.”
What position do you prefer to play in?
“Just being out on the pitch is fun for me, it doesn’t matter where. But I’ve always been a bit further forward since I was young, for example out wide or as a number 10. I definitely feel best there. But every position is fun and I enjoy playing. I take it all with me and it’s good for my development.”
Alphonso Davies also did an interview on the Champions League and Bayern’s Spanish opponents:
