FC Bayern will have their first chance of silverware in the new season when the Bundesliga champions take on DFB Cup holders RB Leipzig in the 2022 Supercup on 30 July. The DFL Deutsche Fußball-Liga also confirmed on Monday that the game will be played at Leipzig's Red Bull Arena, kicking off at 20:30 CEST.

DFB Cup first round on 30/31 August
FC Bayern are looking to extend their record in the Supercup to 10 titles. Next in that standing is Borussia Dortmund with six. As previously announced in the schedule for the 2022/23 season, the DFB Cup first-round fixtures involving the Supercup participants will be played on 30 and 31 August, instead of the main weekend on 29 July-1 August.
