FC Bayern have a new title chaser! Sadio Mané is joining the German record champions from Liverpool. The 30-year-old has enjoyed numerous successes at club level in recent years, including winning the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020. He also led Senegal to glory in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. From next season he’ll be on the hunt for titles with FCB. After moving from Metz to RB Salzburg in summer 2012, Mané celebrated the double in his second season with the Austrian side. He posted 13 goals and 13 assists as Salzburg finished 18 points ahead of second-placed Rapid Vienna, as well as netting five goals in four appearances on the way to the Austrian Cup final. The Senegalese missed the final, which Salzburg won 4-2 against St. Pölten, through suspension.

Mané and Co then triumphed in the FIFA Club World Cup in December 2019, beating CF Monterrey 2-1 and Flamengo 1-0 after extra time in the final.

2020: League title with Liverpool

Liverpool and Mané became domestic champions in the 2019/20 season. With 18 goals and seven assists in 35 appearances, the forward played a key role in the Reds’ first Premier League title in 30 years.
