Team doctors of top European clubs visit FC Bayern

Team doctors, physios, fitness and rehabilitation coaches from numerous top European clubs met in Munich on Tuesday and Wednesday. The conference took place at the invitation of FC Bayern as part of the UEFA ELITE CLUB Injury Study led by Prof. Dr. Jan Ekstrand. Germany’s record champions were represented by board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic and team doctors Prof. Dr. Peter Ueblacker and Dr. Jochen Hahne.

Current issues were discussed during the exchange, which took place at Säbener Straße on Tuesday and the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, in particular the football-medical situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and muscle injuries. FC Bayern hosted the annual event for the first time, which takes place at the invitation of various top clubs.
