Head coach Julian Nagelsmann gave his squad a day off after Bayern's good start to the season, a 5-3 victory over RB Leipzig in the Supercup and the 6-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. But there was still plenty going on at Säbener Strasse on Monday: Matthijs de Ligt, Kingsley Coman, Mathys Tel and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting worked at Bayern's facility in the South of Munich.
New signing de Ligt completed an intense individual session, whereas Coman and Tel trained with and without the ball in glorious weather. The trio completed the session with match situations and runs. Winger Coman missed the opening match, serving a ban after a seeing a red card last season. He'll miss one more game, Sunday's home match against VfL Wolfsburg (17:30 CEST). His French compatriot Tel made his debut for Bayern in Frankfurt on Friday night and aims to build on the momentum in the next few weeks. Bayern will take up preparations for their first home match this campaign on Tuesday.
Choupo-Moting back on the ball
Striker Choupo-Moting is sidelined after kidney stone surgery but is in rehab training. The 33-year-old also worked with the ball in the one-hour session.
