FC Bayern have reached an agreement with Tanguy Nianzou and Sevilla on a move for the 20-year-old centre-back to the Spanish top flight club. The transfer agreements include an option for the German record champions to bring him back to Munich.
FC Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidžić: "We signed Tanguy Nianzou two years ago because we believe in his great potential. Nothing has changed in that respect. However, we currently have a very good and flexible defensive line-up. It was the player's express wish to get more game time. We wanted to give him the chance to get more playing time at this stage of his career and that's why we've agreed on a transfer with Sevilla. We will keep a close eye on Tanguy's development, because FC Bayern have the option to bring him back to Munich. Sevilla are getting a terrific and very talented youngster."
Nianzou had moved to FC Bayern from Paris St Germain in the summer of 2020 as a talent coveted across Europe. The France youth international celebrated two league titles and DFL Supercup victories with the men from Munich. He made 28 competitive appearances for the German record champions, scoring one goal.
