FC Viktoria Plzen go into Wednesday’s Champions League group match against FC Bayern (21:00 CEST) on the back of a win on Saturday. On Matchday 10 of the Czech Fortuna Liga, the reigning champions saw off FK Mladá Boleslav 2-0 at home. Following a goalless first half, Luděk Pernica gave Plzen the lead in the 54th minute, before Václav Jemelka wrapped it up seven minutes from time.
The win means Plzen maintain their lead at the top of the table. Michal Bílek’s side have 26 points after 10 matches, four ahead of second-placed Slavia Prague. In the Champions League, the Czech club are bottom of the group after three rounds of matches with no points, behind Bayern (9 points), Inter Milan (6) and Barcelona (3).
