At last, Bayern are leading the pack again! After Julian Nagelsmann's side's 3-2 win at Hertha BSC on Saturday, previous front-runners Union Berlin were unable to repel the renewed assault on the top spot by the Bavarians, who leapfrogged the side from the capital. The Irons lost 5-0 (0-0) at Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday and now find themselves two points behind the defending champions and new league leaders FCB.
Aim is clear: maintain this impressive form until winter
In the six games since the international break, Bayern have picked up 16 out of a possible 18 points, making them the league's in-form team right now. The plan is to continue that run in the remaining two games against Werder Bremen (Tuesday, 20:30 CET) and FC Schalke 04 (Saturday, 18:30 CET) so they can enjoy the winter at the top of the table.
