"We want to win every game," said Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on Tuesday evening. And that is exactly what FC Bayern have achieved so far in the Champions League thanks to a commanding 2-0 home win at the end of the group stage against Inter Milan. Coach and players were both in good moods after the game. "I'm very satisfied," said coach Julian Nagelsmann, before adding: "It's always a good feeling when you know you can make changes and don't lose out on quality." fcbayern.com has more reaction for you here.
Reaction from the Bayern camp:
Julian Nagelsmann: "We were very confident, even the players who came in. We had an extremely young team on the pitch by the end of the day. It's always a good feeling when you know you can make changes and don't lose out on quality. The boys have very good team spirit, they believe in themselves and you can see that on the pitch. I'm very satisfied. Inter are a good team, they have a good coach. We had two exciting games against them. In the end, both wins did the job. We have to try to take the momentum into the Bundesliga. I'm confident that we can take that spirit that saw us prevail in the group into the new year."
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting: "The Champions League is an awesome competition. We want to win every game. We know it's special to win six out of six in such a strong group. That's what we wanted to do today. We made some changes, that's exactly why we wanted to show, that no matter how much we change, we have enough quality on the pitch to beat anyone."
Sven Ulreich: "We wanted to send a message out that we always want to win, that we are always on it. The team did that well. Especially in weeks with midweek games, it's difficult when there are so many games. But it's the Champions League and we wanted to finish well in front of our home fans - and we managed that. If you want to go far in the Champions League, you have to beat everyone. We will wait for the draw and prepare well for it."
Kingsley Coman: "We've done very well. Six wins from six - it doesn't get much better than that. We are very proud, but we know we still have a lot of work to do. It was a Champions League game, you have to do everything to win. We also want to win our last three Bundesliga games [before the World Cup]."
Reaction from the Inter Milan camp:
Simone Inzaghi (head coach): "We were good against a super strong team that are one of the best in Europe. Bayern have fantastic players in their squad. Small details decided it, like the goal after the corner. We approached the game well and could have scored. I'm satisfied that we have qualified for the last 16."
Robin Gosens (full-back): "All in all, Bayern's victory is fine. We started the game very well and had the first two big chances. If we score there, it's a completely different game. After that, we know that Bayern have great quality. We concede an avoidable goal from a corner and another from Choupo, who's in world-class form right now. That's how you lose 2-0, even though we played well."
Stefan de Vrij (centre-back): "The main thing was to qualify for the knockout rounds and we'd already done that. However, we came here to play well. We knew it would be tough against Bayern, but we gave everything."
