The longest journey was made by a lady from Berlin, who made the trip across snow-covered Germany on Sunday to take part in the second FC Bayern members' workshop. The youngest participant was 18, Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich the oldest at 87, and Heiner Jüngling, who has been club member #1 since the summer, was among the 40 or so participants present at the FC Bayern Campus who discussed the topics of the annual general meeting, dialogue formats and social sustainability. The attendees had previously been drawn from more than 350 registrations. Also represented were the fan dialogue working group, fan clubs and some honorary members.

FC Bayern president Herbert Hainer: “Dialogue formats such as members’ workshops are important to us as a club in order to consolidate the exchange between FC Bayern and those around whom everything revolves, our members and fans. At these meetings, we develop new ideas together, and there are also controversial discussions - that is club culture in action. We will continue on this path in the coming year.”

Members' Workshop FC Bayern

In the run-up, FC Bayern had conducted a survey on the topic of the annual general meeting, in which more than 23,000 members had participated. After the club's office team led by Benny Folkmann presented the results of this survey as well as the evaluation of the first workshop in April, those present discussed them in groups at their own topic tables. One member at a time took over the moderation and later presented the findings to all the others. Among other things, the survey had already shown that the majority would welcome holding the AGM at the weekend and in combination with a home match to facilitate attendance. In addition, the members agreed that the dialogue formats the club has developed so far are helpful, which is further confirmation of the decision to continue and intensify them in 2023.

The aim of the workshop was to discuss ideas and perceptions for the organisation of the annual general meeting, to intensify the dialogue between club and members as well as the exchange among members, to develop new ideas in the area of social engagement and to take away the general mood. The event ended by watching the FC Bayern Basketballers' away game at Telekom Baskets Bonn together in the *1900 clubhouse.
