FC Bayern to the bone, Thomas Müller underlined his importance to the cause in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt. It might not have been the desired result, but the 33-year-old attacking ace did come away from the Allianz Arena with another milestone.
Müller's assist for Leroy Sané took him onto 300 direct goal involvements across his 426 Bundesliga appearances. Breaking down the numbers, the 2014 world champion has scored 139 goals, whilst setting up a further 161, including four this season - three of which have fallen against Frankfurt.
Nagelsmann: A face of the club
Müller's experience is not lost on Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann, who has aptly described the two-time UEFA Champions League winner as one of the "faces of the club".
Müller's abilities in the final third will be called on once more on Wednesday, when Bayern take on Mainz in the DFB Cup round of 16.
