There was good news at Säbener Straße on Friday as Noussair Mazraoui began training again. The 25-year-old has been sidelined since a mild inflammation of the pericardium was discovered following his Covid-19 infection at the World Cup in Qatar. The Morocco international has therefore not featured for Bayern this year.
However, the right-back is now looking ahead after being welcomed back to the pitch by his teammates on Friday morning before going inside to the performance centre with fitness coach Peter Schlösser to complete the first exercises on his road to a comeback.
