Reaction to the PSG win
Julian Nagelsmann: "A win's always a good result. We played very well in the first 25 minutes, we controlled the game. We could have been a bit more direct towards the opposition goal, but it was a good first half overall and the first 20 minutes after the break were also good. It got more difficult after that. You're on a knife edge, with the pace they have. Overall, we did a good job. We've taken the first step, and want to follow it up by taking the second."
Yann Sommer: "It was a really good performance from us. We controlled the first half, and gave nothing away. Our positioning was good and we had a lot of possession. They made changes in the second half. That gave them a bit more dynamic and they had chances, but we also had chances. We all put in a shift defensively. It's a boon for a goalkeeper when your forwards defend like that. Now we're looking ahead. The return in Munich certainly won't be a walk in the park."
Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting: "We had some good phases and started well. The first 25 minutes were good. We were also on it in the opening stages of the second half. It was a tight game, in the end. PSG are a strong side with some serious individual quality, so we're happy to have won today. Everyone showed they wanted to win as a team. We know we have the individual quality, but we all have to bring it on the pitch and fight from the first to last second. We created chances. Unfortunately, we didn't take more of them - but we were rewarded in the end. The mood in the camp is good, but we know we're only halfway there. It'll be a different game in Munich. PSG have to go for it. We're happy with our performance as a team and delighted with the result."
Kingsley Coman: "We're happy with the result. We had a bit of luck at the end. We have to play well for the entire match. We're on the right track and want to get the job done."
Reaction from the PSG camp
Christophe Galtier (Paris Saint-Germain head coach): "We had more about us in the second half. The introduction of [Kylian] Mbappé gave us more momentum. It would have been a different performance from us, had he started. He and Lionel Messi were carrying knocks. The last half hour gives me hope. I hope we're refreshed and back on form in the second leg. It's all to play for, we're not out yet"
Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain forward): "In the closing stages, we showed we can get at them when we play attacking football. Hopefully everyone will be fit for the second leg. We'll go there to win and progress."
