Reaction to the PSG win
Julian Nagelsmann: "We defended with a lot of patience in the second half. We were then able to win the ball back in good positions and do more with it. It was clear we were the better team and deserved to win. The opposition have some serious quality, and it was clear we needed the fans behind us. We played with real passion and as a team. That's the key against PSG. If we combine our hunger and passion, we can achieve anything."
Thomas Müller: "We came out of our shells in the second half. That made for a better game and we deserved to win. You also have to be honest: in games like this, you need luck as well as hard work. We had moments like that, like when Mathijs [de Ligt] made a goal-line clearance. We were the better team defensively. We did well in the tackle. The mentality was spot on - we threw ourselves into the challenges and ran out deserved winners."
Kingsley Coman: "It was tough going, especially in the first half. They played well. We talked things over at half time, and fixed some problems. We were more compact in the second half. I think we deserved to win."
Yann Sommer: "We knew it was going to be hard work, but we did a good job and defended very well. In the second half, we had more joy between their lines. It was immense how we defended as a team against such a strong front line. We had such a positive energy out on the pitch. We throw ourselves into everything and just enjoy defending our goal. That's absolutely key in games like this."
Dayot Upamecano: "We knew it was going to be difficult for both teams. We had to close down the spaces. Today was a real team effort. The coach warned us that we had to be ready, and we were."
Reaction from the PSG camp
Christophe Galtier (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "We didn't manage to score with the chances we had. We gave it a good go in the first half and felt we could hang with the opposition, but we didn't take our chances. If you fall behind after an hour, it's tough. It's a big disappointment, but we have to deal with it and accept it. If we'd scored first, it would have been a different outcome, but we didn't do that."
