Bayern have a special fixture coming up on Saturday as they head to South Tyrol the day after the opening Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen to play the 2023 Dream Match. This year the record champions take on the Weinbeisser Kaltern fan club. Here’s all you need to know about this once-in-a-lifetime game.

- Location: Waldstadion at the St. Anton Sportzone in Kaltern an der Weinstraße (South Tyrol, Italy)
- Kick-off: Saturday, 19 August 2023 – 15:00 CEST
What is the Dream Match?
The tradition of the Dream Match at Bayern goes back to 2007. Once a year the men’s first team play this special game against a fan club chosen through an application process. Half of the proceeds from the game go to FC Bayern Hilfe eV, which supports people and institutions in need.
How to watch?
We’ll be streaming the game live and for free on fcbayern.com, in the FC Bayern app and on the club’s official YouTube and Facebook channels.
What else is happening?
The action around the ground kicks off at 10:00 with food, drinks and children’s activities. There’s a talk with FC Bayern Legends at 13:30. Festivities will continue after the game until 19:00. Further information can be found on the Weinbeisser Kaltern website here (in German).
Who are Weinbeisser Kaltern?
The Weinbeisser Kaltern fan club was created in 2007 and currently consists of 350 members in the town of 8,200. The entire region of South Tyrol is home to 39 official Bayern fan clubs and around 6,000 members. An umbrella organisation has existed since 1990.
