Yusuf Kabadayi, FC Bayern

FC Bayern hand Kabadayi professional contract until 2025

FC Bayern have handed 19-year-old home-grown striker Yusuf Kabadayi a professional contract running until 2025. The Munich native has played for the German record champions since U9 level and, since the summer of 2012, has progressed through every youth team. The former U19 international will now go out on loan to Bundesliga 2 club FC Schalke 04 until the end of the 2023/24 season to gain match practice.

"First steps in professional football"

Director of youth development Jochen Sauer: "Yusi Kabadayi is a true home-grown talent: He was born in Munich and has been playing for us for 11 years. Yusi is quick and a strong finisher, and now he'll take his first steps in professional football at Schalke. We'll monitor his development there very closely and wish him all the best."

Kabadayi was part of the reserves squad last season, where he made a total of 38 appearances in the Bavarian Regionalliga and scored 13 goals. After initially playing for Turkey, he decided to switch his allegiance to the German Football Federation (DFB) at U18 level.
